Hard to Believe ~

Happy New Year Everyone !

¡ Feliz Año Nuevo !

It’s hard to believe 2013 went by so fast.  We had a wonderful Christmas!  Phil’s sister and family came to visit the week before Christmas so we had a house full.  His brother Steve came to visit from Tennessee and stayed for a week which overlapped their sister’s visit and Christmas holidays.  Carolyn had to work up till Christmas Eve and then we headed for Orillia to spend Christmas Day and Boxing Day with her step-dad.  All in all it was seemed like a flurry of people coming and going, but it was good to spend time with family we don’t get to see that often.

Thank you all for your prayers and support this past year!  It’s been a very trying year starting our support raising.  We were wondering why we’ve been feeling so exhausted … we’ve been travelling almost every weekend since June speaking at churches or doing something related to our mission work or heading to Orillia to help Carolyn’s step-dad who is declining.  We have had a few weekends at home, but they were quickly filled with work for Carolyn or music opportunities for Phil.

We’ve had quite the winter so far!

3 Snow Days in Dec for Phil school bus driving and 3 more Snow Days already in January – it made for a long Christmas break!  We are getting a bit of a dis-like for winter here in Canada … especially with the more temperate climate of Central Mexico to look forward to.

Shovelling, Shovelling!!!

As you will notice from our support page, as of Nov 2013 our support level has reached 53%.  This is a wonderful answer to prayer.  As more churches come on board to support us in the New Year, the reality of 2014 being the year we arrive in Mexico is very exciting!
